 లింగ వివక్ష వద్దు - బాలికలే ముద్దు!

జనవరి  24 జాతీయ బాలికల సంరక్షణా దినోత్సవం. మహిళలపై అత్యాచారాలు, లింగవివక్ష, భ్రూణ హత్యలు... ఇలా స్ర్తీ జాతి మనుగడకు ఎన్నో సవాళ్లు. దేశమంతా బాలికా సంరక్షణ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా అనేక ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలు జరిగాయి. లింగ వివక్షతో మన సమాజం బాలికలను గర్భంలోనే అంతమొందిస్తోంది. రానురాను మగ, ఆడ నిష్ఫత్తి తగ్గిపోతోంది. ఇలాంటి సామాజిక దుష్పరిణామలకు అందరూ బాధ్యత వహించాలి.
 

SAVE GIRLS: SAVE NATION!



In order to address the concerns relating to health, nutrition and education of the adolescent or school drop-out girls, State's Women and Child Development Department has instructed the District Programme Officers of the State to organise various programmes on National Girl Child Day which is being celebrated on January 24.


Directorate of Women and Child Development has issued a circular to the District officials to make people aware of the girl's rights and organise village level sports and painting competition for the school drop-out girls falling between 6 to 11 years of age. Anganwadi workers will also suggest the parents to give nutritious food to their girls. Anganwadi workers will also find out the girls who are not registered at the centre and organise a separate session for their mothers to motivate them for sending their girls regularly at the centre.

 

The Department has also instructed the District officials to invite the regional leaders, MP or MLAs to motivate the people. In the circular it has been mentioned to do a base line survey of the girls between 11 to 18 years old. District officials will compulsory observe the Kishori Diwas (young girl day) from January 15 to 24 in the District where 'SABLA' and 'Kishori Shakti' schemes are implemented. Notably, ministry of Women and Child Development initiated few signifigant schemes to help develop the woman lot in the country. Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls, named as 'SABLA' was launched which through the use of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) platform works to empower the adolescent girls. Dhanalakshami scheme is also operational under which cash transfers are made to the family of the girl child on fulfilling certain specific conditions relating to birth and registration, immunization, school enrolment and retention up to class 8th. On the day, there will be health check up of the girls and doctors will distribute Iron Folic Acid and other medicine to the girls. Health Department will also check
